Autism Awareness Day
BMHS will be recognizing Autism Awareness Day on Wednesday, April 5. We are asking all members of our community to wear blue to school. Our teachers will be talking with their students during advisory on Wednesday about how each person's unique contributions help create our enriched community. Our students will be completing an activity using puzzle pieces to further illustrate the differences that makes each member of our community unique while enhancing our collaboration and recognition of the talents each member possesses.
Term 3
It is policy to extend each quarter for the number of days missed due to snow days. Due to the number of snow days we experienced this quarter, term 3 will be closing on Monday, April 10.

Building Update
Each week Shawmut Construction provides us with a three week "look ahead." These glances of future activity are predicated on each component falling into place with no unforeseen issues arising (e.g. April Fool's Day winter storm). I will include a summary of these milestones each week to provide you advance notice of both major and minor activities. The next Building Committee meeting will be this Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Elementary School.
The following are items we will see over the next three weeks.
- Stripping, stockpiling and trucking of loam is ongoing.
- Excavations for new foundations are underway.
- Reinforcement of existing foundations close to construction activity will be completed in the coming weeks.
- Temporary and permanent drainage measures including structures, piping and stormwater basins are ongoing.
- Utility work will ramp up in the comings weeks.
- Installation of limited block site retaining walls is scheduled to commence in mid-April.
- Continued preparations for the commencement of concrete footings and foundations in the third week of April.
