Attendees will be exposed to the world of computer science through interactive and age-appropriate tutorials that are an hour long. These engaging tutorials are led by students on the high school robotics team. All necessary equipment including laptops will be provided. The event is open to students in grades K-12 and will be held within the BMHS School Library. For more information, see the attached flyer. If planning to attend, please RSVP to team4909@gmail.com. Note: We will also have our 2017 Robotics Competition robot on display
Team 4909 - Bionics has completed the 2017 competition season
with outstanding appearances at their
district events in Reading, MA and
Bedford, NH. They played in the final matches trying to win it all and also
took home the Quality Award celebrating machine robustness in concept and
fabrication. The team ranked #49 overall in the New England district out of a
highly competitive field of 194 teams. This allowed them to attend and compete
at the New England Championship at UNH in Durnham, NH last week. This continues
the team's high level of performance and delivery in the competition season as
they are one of only a few teams to make it to the NE Championship 4 years in a
row!
If you want to spice up your college applications and get
some real world experience in a fun and exciting way, consider joining Team
4909 - Bionics. The team always has openings and its not all about the robots,
there are plenty of opportunities on the business (non-bot) team in social
media, photography, newsletters, public relations, sponsor relations, event
management, public speaking, awards presentations, marketing, promotions,
creative design, website design and so many others.
