AP Chemistry students visit E-Ink

Mr. Vigeant and his AP Chemistry students took time this afternoon to visit E Ink's US Headquarters located in Technology Park, Billerica. The students learned about the chemistry of e ink and the history of the company. Started in 1997 as a spin off from MIT's Media Lab, E Ink is the world leader in electronic paper displays. Their idea of creating electronic paper that had the same contrast and appearance as print, revolutionized the market. Their technology is used in Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Samsung, and Sony to name a few. Our students were provided the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the science behind the process.
