AP Exams - Week #2
Mock Crash
This Tuesday, May 9, we will be hosting a half-day assembly for our juniors and seniors surrounding the dangers of impaired/distracted driving. We will be hosting two guest speakers and a number of interactive activities for the students before concluding with a mock crash scene featuring student actors and Billerica Police, Fire, and Emergency Services. A special thank you to Holland Used Auto Parts for their contribution to the event as well. The presentation will conclude at 10:30 a.m.
Honor Thy Teacher
Wednesday, May 10, the Billerica Public School District will be recognizing outstanding teachers through the annual Honor Thy Teacher campaign. The event begins at 3:00 p.m. at the Parker Elementary School and will feature teacher-created projects that were funded by the Billerica Partners for Education. Thank you to everyone who took the time to recognize the efforts of our teachers this year.
Spring Orchestra Concert
This Thursday the Billerica Fine Arts Department will kick-off their spring concert season with the District-wide Orchestra Concert, which will feature our very own BMHS Orchestra. Those of you who have been to this annual event know that it's a capstone to all of the hard work our students put into rehearsals throughout the year.The concert starts at 7 pm in the BMHS Auditorium and is sure to be a packed house!

Junior Prom
The Junior Prom will be this Friday, May 12 at Tewksbury Country Club. The prom begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 10:30 p.m. No student may leave the prom before 10:00 p.m. without parental contact.

Billerica Blast
The Billerica Blast is our annual post Graduation all night celebration. Over 90% of the graduates return to the high school each year to enjoy food, entertainment, and a last night together as members of the Class of 2017. New BMHS Building Update
A little rain did not slow down Shawmut Construction last week. Mr. Brooks and I toured the construction site with Shawmut Superintendent John Hartshorn last Friday after school and walked away amazed at the progress. The aerial photos begin to show the progress that has been made with the exterior foundation. At the end of Friday, you can begin to visually see the outline of the new building.
