BMHS Visits France

Madame Bynoe and Mrs. Ross are currently completing the exchange program that began in the fall. They are chaperoning twenty of our students as they learn about the education, history, and culture of France. The students are staying with their host families while visiting the classrooms at Lycee Institute Jean Paul II in Rouen. Our students have also visited the Louvre and the sacred beaches of Normandy. We will be welcoming them home on April 29. BMHS World Travelers include: Taylor Bennett, Sarah Bojsen, Victoria Bossi, Patrick Bouthillette, Jillian Carbone, Thompson Coulter, Annabelle Dionne, Brendan Eknaian, Kyla Gaudet, Michael Harty, Sam LaPusata, Chris McLaughlin, Alyssa Moore, Dawn Moore, Amoreena O'Leary, Donna Park, Joshua Pimental, Jennifer Romanowski, Petya Todorova, and Matthew Young.

Pat Patriot Visits BMHS

Pre-School
Billerica Food Services, NFL Play 60, and the New England Dairy Council welcomed Pat Patriot to BMHS on Thursday, April 12 to celebrate healthy living. BMHS seniors Duncan McGarry and Kylie Hopkins were instrumental in orchestrating the visit. Pat Patriot visited with our pre-school (BEAM and Project Support) program before joining the high school students for some fun activities and pictures during lunch.

The Billerica Blast 2017



The Billerica Blast is our annual overnight post graduation celebration. Our parents have been running the Blast for our students since 1999 with great success and support. Please consider supporting their efforts for the Class of 2017.








Building Committee Update

The first concrete pour 4/21/2017













  • Stripping, stockpiling and trucking of loam is nearing completion.
  • The River Street connection to water services is complete and paving will occur on Saturday, April 22. Police details will be directing one lane of traffic during this work and River Street will remain open at all times.
  • Street cleaning and catch basin maintenance along River Street will be ongoing throughout spring and summer construction activities.
  • Temporary and permanent drainage measures, including the Alumni Fields basin, are nearing completion.
  • Soil nailing to prevent undermining of existing foundations is complete.
  • Site retaining walls are underway and will continue in the coming weeks.
  • Excavations for new foundations and footings is ongoing and on schedule.
  • The first concrete pour, along the south foundation wall, was placed on April 21! Concrete deliveries will continue to ramp up over the coming weeks and continue through summer.
  • Steel is expected onsite, beginning in area C, at the end of June.
  • Steel and elevated concrete floor decks will be completed through the summer and into fall 2017.


BMHS Student - Law Day Essay Finalist

Senior Samantha Jacques is a finalist in the Greater Lowell Bar Association's Law Day Essay contest. Her essay about the 14th Amendment's influence on history was selected from among all regional entries. On Friday, April 28, 2017, Samantha will present her essay at Lowell District Court, along with the other two finalists, for the opportunity to win up to $800 in scholarship money. Congratulations!
